Boiler Breakdown Courses

Learn How To Repair Gas Boilers & Heating Faults

Becoming a good heating repair and boiler breakdown engineer requires a thorough understanding of the design, operation and fault finding sequence for gas boilers and their respective heating controls. This course which was previously delivered over 10 days in college is now available online. It was developed into an open university and distance learning course for our prestigious clients, and has now been offered freely to the engineering industry as a productive low cost means of training and ongoing reference.

Multimeter Training

Knowing how to use a multimeter is paramount to correctly diagnosing boiler faults. This Boiler Repair Course provides step by step training on using a multimeter, testing switches and loads, safe isolation, where to place test probes, and expected readings for boiler components. This course will help you build confidence using a multimeter for more accurate fault diagnosis on boilers and heating controls.

Heating Design & Boiler Operation

There are a multitude of different manufacturers designing gas heating appliances, You will be taught how to identify the different designs and their respective operational sequence. You will be learn how to understand wiring guides, colour coding, and how to recognise the different components, their function and how to test them for faults. The course is delivered in easy to understand audio visual training modules that can also be used for future reference

 Boiler & System Wiring

A good 30% of boiler breakdowns are a result of faults on the heating and hot water system controls, These include incorrect wiring, poor wet system design, faulty external components and inadequate maintenance. Boiler and heating components are very expensive and for the untrained engineer lead to repeated misdiagnosis, high costs, poor profits and lack of professional rating from your customers.

Course Cost

Because this popular boiler fault finding course has been transferred onto our open learning platform, and offered to students, colleges and contractors alike, we have been able to drastically reduce the cost. The course now costs just £89 for registered engineers, electricians, and students joining the gas industry.  It is less than the income of your first repair. With boiler and heating components costing hundreds of pounds, and misdiagnosis averaging £450 per failed repair, we would consider the course complete value for money.
