Entry Skills & Gas Engineer Training Plumbing & Heating
Students Without Plumbing Skills | PSC1 Students with no pipe or plumbing skills will undertake a pre entry skills course on basic pipe skills, plumbing and heating.
Students With No Previous or Trade Related Experience | PAP1 Students who join from entirely different professions and have no transferable life skills will need to complete our Cat 3 to Cat 2 Up-Skill so that your first steps into the gas industry provide solid foundations upon which to develop the necessary skills and competence.

ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme for Gas Fitting Operatives) Required for Employment, Gas Registration & Working Legally on Gas
CCN1 - CPA1 | Core Domestic Gas Safety (Initial & Re-Assessment) Required to work on gas installation pipework - and needed to apply for any other gas competences A series of written / multiple choice examinations and practical assessments comprising 15 Core Assessments. CPA1 (is now included in CCN1)
CENWAT | The now combined CEN1 and WAT1 certifying you to work on gas boilers and water heaters, including installation, servicing and maintenance.
CKR1 | Installation of gas cookers, ranges, stoves and hobs. This Module as with CENWAT come within the course price.
HTR1 | Optional Gas Fires and Space Heaters Competence Assessment. Required to install, service, and maintain these type of appiances
MET1 | Optional metering, especially necessary for engineer looking to seek a carrer in Smart Meter Installation
Other modules are available (Warm Air Heaters, Tumble Dryers) plus LPG Domestic Gas Assessments.
Essential Trades Training Essential Professional Certificates
Asbestos Safety Awareness | GASA1 Specifically for gas and heating engineers, to understand the dangers of asbestos, requirements for removal and identification in Gas and Heating Installations
PART L Energy Efficiency | GPPE1 Gas and Heating Engineers are required by law to notify the new installation of gas appliances, heating upgrades and certain heating components. These are required under Part P of the Building regulations in England and Wales. This certificate comes as standard with this training program
