Train Part Time, Full Time or Flexi Time
One of the biggest challenges for our trainees in Leeds is finding the time to study whilst holding down a full time job, and providing for their families. To cater for this we provide our students with flexible training solutions that allow them to train with minimum disruption to their income and working hours.
The gas course training syllabus covers over 20 British Standards, and numerous related legislative and industry approved procedures which must be learned and absorbed for successful application in the workplace.
The most successful graduates are those that are able to learn, absorb and apply their new skills at their own personal learning curve.
Gas Courses - Training Locations
Training is available in Leeds and locally throughout the UK. As a national gas engineering business we have formed relationships with numerous training colleges and centres throughout the UK, primarily to service our own team of non local engineers and contractors who don't want to travel long distances for ongoing training and professional development.. Once accepted onto the program, you show up as one of our sponsored trainees and your class based, off the job training is arranged along side our own apprentices on day or block release to a college or centre. During this time our engineering division take over management of your on the job training before returning you to your local college to successfully undertake your ACS Gas accredited assessments,
Gas Portfolio & On The Job Training
Our Students are not in for any unexpected surprises or disappointments. The most important part of your gas training course is undertaken on the job in Leeds under the supervision of our own gas registered engineers. . Completing theory and practical training in a mock environment during your gas course is far removed from applying what you have learned in the real world. Now its time to transfer your skills into the role of a lead engineer. Your college will want you to complete a portfolio of on the job evidence gathered under the supervision of senior gas registered engineers and NVQ Field Assessors. We want you to learn and apply yourself as a proficient, competent and confident lead engineer. The training and experience received under our supervision is of the highest standard, and it needs to be. After graduating you will need to be sufficiently competent and able to undertake gas work safely all on your own.
Prospects
Many students undertake a gas course to improve their job prospects. Indeed there is a high demand for gas engineers with proven experience. However the vast majority of courses are not managed by an employer and as such graduating students do not have the necessary experience or background to get past an interview. New students are expected to find employment with a gas company for the first two years to gain the necessary experience required to work on their own safely. And that's where most graduates hit a brick wall. They can't get the work to gain experience without already having the necessary experience.. CTSGroup provide the missing link. We train you as if you are one of our own engineers, induct you into the gas industry on graduation, and provide work references, your gas licence and professional profile.
If you are serious about becoming a gas engineer in Leeds and would like your investment to offer fruitful returns then speak to us now. We only have room to train 4 to 5 students a month, but those few all go on to become successful tradespersons
